NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Essential Requirements for MBBS Aspirants
Aspiring candidates wishing to pursue an MBBS degree must meet the following eligibility criteria to qualify for NEET 2025. These guidelines, set by the National Testing Agency (NTA), encompass requirements related to nationality, age, academic qualifications, and minimum marks:
Nationality: Indian nationals, as well as Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and foreign nationals, are eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained a minimum of 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2025. The upper age limit for General category candidates is 25 years, while reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) enjoy a relaxation of up to 5 years.
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed their Class 12 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects.
Minimum Marks: The minimum passing percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined is 50% for the General category and 40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.

NEET 2025 Counselling: Process and Document Checklist
The MBBS counselling process for NEET UG 2025 will be administered online by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). This digital platform streamlines the allocation of seats, ensuring a transparent, efficient, and accessible procedure for all eligible candidates across India. The process is tentatively scheduled to commence in the second week of June 2025.
All eligible candidates must complete online registration, select their preferred courses and colleges, lock their choices, and participate in the seat allotment process. Upon receiving a seat allotment, students must report to the assigned college within the specified timeframe to complete admission formalities.

- Eight recent passport-sized photographs
- A valid category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by the government.
- Provisional Allotment Letter generated during counselling
